Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is designed to give individuals the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to respond effectively to a range of first aid situations in low-risk workplace environments. This course is ideal for appointed first aiders in offices, schools, retail settings, and other low-hazard work environments. You’ll receive high-quality, hands-on training that meets all HSE requirements while remaining engaging, practical, and relevant to your workplace. Course Content Includes: The Role of the First Aider Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 overview Incident and casualty assessment (Primary Survey – DR ABC) Catastrophic Bleed Unconscious casualties: Recovery position Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – Adult Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use Choking – recognition and treatment Control of bleeding and shock Minor injuries: cuts, grazes, burns, and sprains Infection control and personal protective equipment (PPE) Communication and casualty care Incident reporting and first aid kit requirements Duration: 1 day (typically 6 contact hours, excluding breaks) Certification: Upon successful completion, learners will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years.
